Nina Makes Bread

It is night. Nina is in Omar’s kitchen.

Es ist Nacht. Nina ist in Omars Küche.

It is her first night at work.

Es ist ihre erste Nacht bei der Arbeit.

She makes her first bread.

Sie macht ihr erstes Brot.

Her first bread is black.

Ihr erstes Brot ist schwarz.

Max looks at it. Max eats bread. Max eats apples. Max eats notes.

Max schaut es an. Max isst Brot. Max isst Äpfel. Max isst Zettel.

He looks at Nina. He goes out.

Er schaut Nina an. Er geht hinaus.

She makes her second bread.

Sie macht ihr zweites Brot.

It is not black. It is very white.

Es ist nicht schwarz. Es ist sehr weiß.

It is cold.

Es ist kalt.

Omar comes in.

Omar kommt herein.

“What is this?” he says.

„Was ist das?“, sagt er.

“My first bread.”

„Mein erstes Brot.“

“And this?”

„Und das?“

“My second bread.”

„Mein zweites Brot.“
