Elena goes from window to window and closes the old green shutters.

Elena: A storm is coming. A big one. I can feel it.

Elena: Ein Sturm kommt. Ein großer. Ich spüre es.

“How do you know?”

Elena: Rosa taught me. When the swallows fly low and the lake turns green, you close the windows.

She looks up at the roof.

„Sophie, ein Sturm kommt. Ich bleibe hier.“

Sophie: Darling, it’s only a little rain. And we need to talk about the papers. Friday is the day after tomorrow.

“Then you talk to him,” I say. “I’m staying with the house.”

„Dann sprich du mit ihm“, sage ich. „Ich bleibe beim Haus.“
