Wo ist Mimi?

Lena ist sieben Jahre alt. Sie hat eine Katze. Die Katze heißt Mimi. Mimi ist klein und grau. Sie hat weiße Pfoten.

Lena is seven years old. She has a cat. The cat is called Mimi. Mimi is small and grey. She has white paws.

Jeden Morgen kommt Mimi zu Lena ins Zimmer. Sie springt auf das Bett und sagt: „Miau!“ Dann steht Lena auf.

Every morning Mimi comes into Lena’s room. She jumps onto the bed and says, “Miaow!” Then Lena gets up.

Aber heute ist alles anders. Heute kommt Mimi nicht. Lena wacht allein auf. Das Bett ist leer. Kein „Miau“. Nichts.

But today everything is different. Today Mimi doesn’t come. Lena wakes up alone. The bed is empty. No “miaow”. Nothing.

„Mimi?“, ruft Lena. „Mimi, wo bist du?“

“Mimi?” calls Lena. “Mimi, where are you?”

Lena sucht in der Küche. Mama trinkt Kaffee. „Mama, wo ist Mimi?“ „Ich weiß es nicht“, sagt Mama. „Vielleicht im Garten?“

Lena looks in the kitchen. Mum is drinking coffee. “Mum, where is Mimi?” “I don’t know,” says Mum. “Maybe in the garden?”

Lena geht in den Garten. Das Gras ist nass. Ein Vogel sitzt auf dem Baum. Aber Mimi ist nicht da.

Lena goes into the garden. The grass is wet. A bird is sitting in the tree. But Mimi isn’t there.

„Mimi! Mimi!“ Lena ruft laut. Der Vogel fliegt weg. Aber keine Katze kommt.

“Mimi! Mimi!” Lena calls loudly. The bird flies away. But no cat comes.

Lena geht zurück ins Haus. Sie sucht unter dem Sofa. Da ist ein Ball. Da ist eine Socke. Da ist ein alter Keks. Aber da ist keine Katze.

Lena goes back into the house. She looks under the sofa. There is a ball. There is a sock. There is an old biscuit. But there is no cat.

Sie sucht hinter dem Schrank. Da ist Staub. Viel Staub. Lena muss niesen. „Hatschi!“ Aber da ist keine Katze.

She looks behind the wardrobe. There is dust. Lots of dust. Lena has to sneeze. “Atchoo!” But there is no cat.

Papa kommt ins Wohnzimmer. „Lena, was machst du da unten?“ „Ich suche Mimi. Mimi ist weg!“

Dad comes into the living room. “Lena, what are you doing down there?” “I’m looking for Mimi. Mimi is gone!”

Papa sucht auch. Er sucht im Bad. Er sucht in der Garage. Er sucht sogar im Auto. Keine Mimi.

Dad looks too. He looks in the bathroom. He looks in the garage. He even looks in the car. No Mimi.
