Toute petite

Il était une fois une toute petite femme qui vivait dans une toute petite maison dans un tout petit village. Or, un jour, cette toute petite femme mit son tout petit bonnet et sortit de sa toute petite maison pour faire une toute petite promenade.

Once upon a time there was a teeny-tiny woman lived in a teeny-tiny house in a teeny-tiny village. Now, one day this teeny-tiny woman put on her teeny-tiny bonnet, and went out of her teeny-tiny house to take a teeny-tiny walk.

Et quand cette toute petite femme eut fait un tout petit bout de chemin, elle arriva à un tout petit portail ; alors la toute petite femme ouvrit le tout petit portail et entra dans un tout petit cimetière.

And when this teeny-tiny woman had gone a teeny-tiny way she came to a teeny-tiny gate; so the teeny-tiny woman opened the teeny-tiny gate, and went into a teeny-tiny churchyard.

Et quand cette toute petite femme fut entrée dans le tout petit cimetière, elle vit un tout petit os sur une toute petite tombe, et la toute petite femme se dit à elle-même : « Ce tout petit os me fera une toute petite soupe pour mon tout petit dîner. »

And when this teeny-tiny woman had got into the teeny-tiny churchyard, she saw a teeny-tiny bone on a teeny-tiny grave, and the teeny-tiny woman said to her teeny-tiny self, “This teeny-tiny bone will make me some teeny-tiny soup for my teeny-tiny supper.”

Alors la toute petite femme mit le tout petit os dans sa toute petite poche et rentra chez elle dans sa toute petite maison.

So the teeny-tiny woman put the teeny-tiny bone into her teeny-tiny pocket, and went home to her teeny-tiny house.

Or, quand la toute petite femme fut arrivée chez elle dans sa toute petite maison, elle était un tout petit peu fatiguée ; alors elle monta ses tout petits escaliers jusqu’à son tout petit lit et mit le tout petit os dans un tout petit placard.

Now when the teeny-tiny woman got home to her teeny-tiny house she was a teeny-tiny bit tired; so she went up her teeny-tiny stairs to her teeny-tiny bed, and put the teeny-tiny bone into a teeny-tiny cupboard.

Et quand cette toute petite femme eut dormi un tout petit moment, elle fut réveillée par une toute petite voix venant du tout petit placard, qui disait :

And when this teeny-tiny woman had been to sleep a teeny-tiny time, she was awakened by a teeny-tiny voice from the teeny-tiny cupboard, which said:

« Rends-moi mon os ! »

“Give me my bone!”

Et cette toute petite femme eut un tout petit peu peur, alors elle cacha sa toute petite tête sous les tout petits draps et se rendormit.

And this teeny-tiny woman was a teeny-tiny frightened, so she hid her teeny-tiny head under the teeny-tiny clothes and went to sleep again.

Et quand elle eut dormi à nouveau un tout petit moment, la toute petite voix cria à nouveau depuis le tout petit placard, un tout petit peu plus fort : « Rends-moi mon os ! »

And when she had been to sleep again a teeny-tiny time, the teeny-tiny voice again cried out from the teeny-tiny cupboard a teeny-tiny louder, “Give me my bone!”

Cela rendit la toute petite femme un tout petit peu plus effrayée, alors elle cacha sa toute petite tête un tout petit peu plus profondément sous les tout petits draps.

This made the teeny-tiny woman a teeny-tiny more frightened, so she hid her teeny-tiny head a teeny-tiny further under the teeny-tiny clothes.

Et quand la toute petite femme eut dormi à nouveau un tout petit moment, la toute petite voix venant du tout petit placard dit encore un tout petit peu plus fort :

And when the teeny-tiny woman had been to sleep again a teeny-tiny time, the teeny-tiny voice from the teeny-tiny cupboard said again a teeny-tiny louder,

« Rends-moi mon os ! »

“Give me my bone!”

Et cette toute petite femme eut un tout petit peu plus peur, mais elle sortit sa toute petite tête des tout petits draps et dit de sa plus toute petite voix : « PRENDS-LE ! »

And this teeny-tiny woman was a teeny-tiny bit more frightened, but she put her teeny-tiny head out of the teeny-tiny clothes, and said in her loudest teeny-tiny voice, “TAKE IT!”
