Grandma Says

It is night. Max sleeps on the bag.

Jest noc. Max śpi na torbie.

Nina is at the window with her phone.

Nina jest przy oknie z telefonem.

She looks at Grandma’s photo. Then she calls.

Patrzy na zdjęcie babci. Potem dzwoni.

“Hello?”

„Halo?”

“Hello, Nina! Hello!”

„Cześć, Nina! Cześć!”

“Grandma, where are you?”

„Babciu, gdzie jesteś?”

“Here,” Grandma says.

„Tu” — mówi babcia.

“Where is here?”

„Gdzie to jest: tu?”

“The key is good, Nina. It is a good key.”

„Klucz jest dobry, Nina. To jest dobry klucz.”

“What is it for?”

„Do czego jest ten klucz?”

“A door.”

„Do drzwi.”

“What door?”

„Co to za drzwi?”

“A blue door.”

„Niebieskie drzwi.”

“Grandma, there are blue doors in this town. There are blue doors at the school.”

„Babciu, w tym mieście są niebieskie drzwi. W szkole są niebieskie drzwi.”
