What you get back
A parallel text, not a replacement
Ordinary ebook translators swap the original for the translation. A bilingual EPUB keeps both, paired paragraph with paragraph, so the translation is there when a sentence stops you and out of the way when it doesn’t. That is what makes it a parallel text.

How do I make an EPUB bilingual?
Upload the EPUB to DuoText, choose the second language, and look at the free preview of the opening pages. Translate the whole book and download it as a bilingual EPUB, with each paragraph followed by, or set beside, its translation.
Does the translated EPUB keep the original text?
Yes. That is the point: the original stays, and the translation is added paragraph by paragraph, so you can read either language and check one against the other.
Can I translate a MOBI or AZW3 book?
Upload an EPUB or a PDF. If your book is a DRM-free MOBI or AZW3, convert it to EPUB first, for example with the free Calibre app, then upload that. The finished bilingual book can be downloaded as AZW3 or MOBI again for your Kindle.
Will it work with books bought from Kindle, Kobo or Apple Books?
Only if the file is DRM-free. Most shop-bought ebooks are locked to the store's app. Many publishers and public-domain sites sell or offer DRM-free EPUBs.
Which languages are supported?
68 languages, in any direction: an English book with Spanish beside it, a French novel with English beside it, and so on.
