About the series
A serial story in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, English, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Turkish, Vietnamese and Chinese, written for this library, with a translation beside every line. Ana comes alone to a small town in the north of England to work nights in an old bakery. Every night before work, the old baker puts a loaf in a paper bag on the back step. In the morning the bag is gone. Who takes it, and why has he done it for fifteen years?
The story is told one episode at a time, and the language grows with it. The first episodes are short and simple; every ten episodes the language rises one level, from A1 to C1, while the story deepens. Start at episode 1 and read your way up.
