Het briefje op de deur

In de ochtend is er een papier op de deur van Nina.

In the morning there is a paper on Nina’s door.

Het is een briefje.

It is a note.

Nina leest het.

Nina reads it.

De sleutel is niet voor deze stad.

The key is not for this town.

Een vriend.

A friend.

Nina leest dat woord weer. Vriend.

Nina reads that word again. Friend.

Wie is hier haar vriend?

Who is her friend here?

Is het Omar? Is het Leo?

Is it Omar? Is it Leo?

Is het Max? Max schrijft niet.

Is it Max? Max does not write.

Nina gaat naar de winkel.

Nina goes to the shop.

“Is dat jouw briefje?” zegt ze.

“Is that your note?” she says.

Omar leest het.

Omar reads it.

“Nee,” zegt hij. “Ik maak brood. Ik schrijf niet.”

“No,” he says. “I make bread. I do not write.”

Nina gaat naar Leo.

Nina goes to Leo.
