दादाजी और मोबाइल

जोनास आठ साल का है। वह हर बुधवार दादाजी के घर होता है। दादाजी बूढ़े हैं, लेकिन मज़ेदार हैं। उनके सफ़ेद बाल और चश्मा हैं।

Jonas is eight. He is at Grandpa’s every Wednesday. Grandpa is old, but funny. He has white hair and glasses.

आज बुधवार है। जोनास घंटी बजाता है। दादाजी दरवाज़ा खोलते हैं। उनके हाथ में एक छोटा काला डिब्बा है। वह खुश नहीं दिखते।

Today is Wednesday. Jonas rings the bell. Grandpa opens the door. In his hand he has a small black box. He doesn’t look happy.

“नमस्ते, जोनास। यह देखो। यह तुम्हारी माँ का उपहार है। एक मोबाइल! लेकिन मुझे यह समझ नहीं आता। क्या तुम मेरी मदद करते हो?”

“Hello, Jonas. Look. This is a present from your mum. A phone! But I don’t understand it. Will you help me?”

“बिल्कुल, दादाजी!” जोनास सोफ़े पर दादाजी के पास बैठता है। वह डिब्बा खोलता है। मोबाइल नया है और चमकता है।

“Sure, Grandpa!” Jonas sits next to Grandpa on the sofa. He opens the box. The phone is new and shiny.

“पहले फ़ोन करते हैं,” जोनास कहता है। “तुम यहाँ दबाते हो। फिर तुम माँ को फ़ोन करते हो।”

“Phone calls first,” says Jonas. “You press here. Then you call Mum.”

दादाजी दबाते हैं। घंटी बजती है। फिर एक आवाज़ आती है: “पिज़्ज़ेरिया रोमा, नमस्ते!”

Grandpa presses. It rings. Then a voice says: “Pizzeria Roma, good afternoon!”

दादाजी की आँखें बड़ी हो जाती हैं। “अरे! उम् … नमस्ते। कृपया एक चीज़ पिज़्ज़ा।”

Grandpa’s eyes go wide. “Oh! Er … Hello. A cheese pizza, please.”

जोनास हँसता है। “दादाजी! यह माँ नहीं हैं!” “नहीं,” दादाजी कहते हैं। “लेकिन अब हमारे पास पिज़्ज़ा है।”

Jonas laughs. “Grandpa! That’s not Mum!” “No,” says Grandpa. “But now we have pizza.”

“अब फ़ोटो,” जोनास कहता है। “तुम यहाँ बटन दबाते हो। क्लिक!”

“Now photos,” says Jonas. “You press the button here. Click!”

दादाजी एक फ़ोटो खींचते हैं। फिर एक और फ़ोटो। फिर दस और फ़ोटो। जोनास फ़ोटो देखता है। पहली फ़ोटो में एक अँगूठा है। दूसरी फ़ोटो में एक नाक है। तीसरी फ़ोटो में बत्ती है।

Grandpa takes a photo. Then another photo. Then ten more photos. Jonas looks at the photos. In the first photo there is a thumb. In the second photo there is a nose. In the third photo there is the lamp.

“और यह क्या है?”, जोनास पूछता है। फ़ोटो धूसर और मुलायम है। “यह पड़ोसी की बिल्ली है,” दादाजी गर्व से कहते हैं। “उसका पेट।”

“And this one?” asks Jonas. The photo is grey and fluffy. “That’s the neighbour’s cat,” says Grandpa proudly. “Her tummy.”
