Este o glumă

Este ora șapte dimineața. Doamna Berg stă în picioare la scări.

It is seven o’clock in the morning. Mrs Berg stands at the stairs.

„Acesta este serviciul tău”, spune ea. „Toate. Folosește apă caldă.”

“This is your job,” she says. “All of them. Use hot water.”

„Câte trepte sunt?”

“How many stairs are there?”

„Diseară mâinile tale pot spune.”

“Tonight your hands can say.”

Este ora opt. Nina curăță treapta douăzeci.

It is eight o’clock. Nina is cleaning stair twenty.

Este ora zece. Nina curăță treapta cincizeci.

It is ten o’clock. Nina is cleaning stair fifty.

Hotelul ăsta este mic, dar are foarte multe trepte.

This hotel is small, but it has very many stairs.

Max intră. Este zăpadă în părul lui.

Max comes in. There is snow in his hair.

El merge pe treptele curate. Acum ele nu mai sunt curate.

He walks up the clean stairs. Now they are not clean.

El stă jos pe treapta zece.

He sits on stair ten.

Doamna Berg iese din spatele biroului.

Mrs Berg comes out from behind her desk.

Ea se uită la Max. Max se uită la doamna Berg.

She looks at Max. Max looks at Mrs Berg.

Nina se oprește din lucrat. Ea cunoaște asta. Sara și Max fac asta în fiecare zi.

Nina stops working. She knows this. Sara and Max do this every day.

Sara se oprește mereu prima.

Sara always stops first.
