Ora cinci

Este vineri, ora cinci dimineața. Nina deschide ochii.

It is Friday, five o’clock in the morning. Nina opens her eyes.

Este foarte întuneric și foarte liniște.

It is very dark and very quiet.

Max nu este pe pat. Asta este nou.

Max is not on the bed. That is new.

Ea aude ceva. Cine lucrează la ora cinci dimineața?

She hears something. Who is working at five o’clock in the morning?

Ea coboară scările, încet.

She goes down the stairs, slowly.

Ea se oprește pe treapta douăzeci. Ea aude un pas.

She stops on stair twenty. She hears a step.

Este acolo jos, în bucătărie.

It is down there, in the kitchen.

Ea aude un al doilea pas.

She hears a second step.

Este ușa bucătăriei. Este închisă.

There is the kitchen door. It is closed.

Este o lumină mică și galbenă sub ea.

There is a small yellow light under it.

Este cald la ușa asta. Este pâine proaspătă în spatele ei.

It is hot at this door. There is fresh bread behind it.

Nina își pune capul pe podea. Ea se uită sub ușă.

Nina puts her head on the floor. She looks under the door.

Ea vede doi pantofi mici. Sunt pantofi negri și vechi.

She sees two small shoes. They are old black shoes.

Ei merg la masă. Ei merg la fereastră.

They go to the table. They go to the window.
