Saat Beş

Cuma, sabah saat beş. Nina gözlerini açıyor.

It is Friday, five o’clock in the morning. Nina opens her eyes.

Çok karanlık ve çok sessiz.

It is very dark and very quiet.

Max yatakta değil. Bu yeni.

Max is not on the bed. That is new.

Bir şey duyuyor. Sabah beşte kim çalışıyor?

She hears something. Who is working at five o’clock in the morning?

Merdivenlerden yavaşça aşağı gidiyor.

She goes down the stairs, slowly.

Yirminci basamakta duruyor. Bir adım duyuyor.

She stops on stair twenty. She hears a step.

Aşağıda, mutfakta.

It is down there, in the kitchen.

İkinci bir adım duyuyor.

She hears a second step.

Mutfak kapısı burada. Kapalı.

There is the kitchen door. It is closed.

Altında küçük sarı bir ışık var.

There is a small yellow light under it.

Bu kapıda sıcak. Arkasında taze ekmek var.

It is hot at this door. There is fresh bread behind it.

Nina kafasını yere koyuyor. Kapının altına bakıyor.

Nina puts her head on the floor. She looks under the door.

İki küçük ayakkabı görüyor. Eski siyah ayakkabılar.

She sees two small shoes. They are old black shoes.

Masaya gidiyorlar. Pencereye gidiyorlar.

They go to the table. They go to the window.
