Why

Why

Neden

It is four o’clock in the afternoon. The kitchen is quiet.

Öğleden sonra saat dört. Mutfak sessiz.

There is no more bread on the plate.

Tabakta daha ekmek yok.

Nina puts her key on the table.

Nina anahtarını masaya koyuyor.

“Why?” she says.

“Neden?” diyor.

Grandma looks at the key.

Babaanne anahtara bakıyor.

“Why what?”

“Neden ne?”

“Why all this? A note? An envelope? A blue door?”

“Bunların hepsi neden? Bir not? Bir zarf? Mavi bir kapı?”

“It is a good door.”

“O iyi bir kapı.”

“There are a lot of blue doors, Grandma! No! No! No!”

“Çok mavi kapı var, Babaanne! Hayır! Hayır! Hayır!”

“Yes.”

“Evet.”

“You have a phone! You can say: Nina, come to the hotel.”

“Senin telefonun var! Diyebilirsin: Nina, otele gel.”

“Yes,” Grandma says. “I can say that.”

“Evet,” diyor Babaanne. “Bunu diyebilirim.”

Nina stands up. She shouts.

Nina kalkıyor. Bağırıyor.
