„Jeder legt dreitausend Yen in einen Umschlag“, sagt die Frau. „In Ordnung?“

„In Ordnung“, sagen alle. Kenji sagt auch „In Ordnung“, sehr leise.
“OK,” says everybody. Kenji says “OK” too, very quietly.
Am Nachmittag kommen Leute an Kenjis Schreibtisch. Sie geben ihm Geld. „Hier, Kenji“, sagt der junge Mann. „Für den Umschlag.“

„Warum ich?“, fragt Kenji.
“Why me?” asks Kenji.
„Weil du vorsichtig bist“, sagt die Frau. „Du verlierst nie etwas.“
“Because you are careful,” says the woman. “You never lose anything.”
Kenji sieht den Umschlag an. Er ist weiß. Auf die Vorderseite schreibt er: „Für den Chef. Kenji Tanaka, Verkaufsteam.“
Kenji looks at the envelope. It is white. On the front, he writes: “For the boss. Kenji Tanaka, Sales Team.”
Um sechs Uhr zählt er das Geld. „Zehn Leute, dreitausend Yen. Dreißigtausend Yen.“
