Acum tu ești bucătarul

Zece săptămâni, în fiecare dimineață, Nina și Bunica fac pâine împreună.

Every morning for ten weeks, Nina and Grandma make bread together.

În fiecare dimineață Bunica o mănâncă și spune un cuvânt.

Every morning Grandma eats it and says one word.

„Nu.”

“No.”

Este un cuvânt foarte bun în bucătăria aceea. Și Sarei îi place.

It is a very good word in that kitchen. Sara likes it too.

Astăzi Bunica rupe pâinea Ninei în două. Ea o mănâncă încet.

Today Grandma breaks Nina’s bread in two. She eats it slowly.

Ea o mănâncă toată. Ea nu spune nimic mult timp.

She eats all of it. She says nothing for a long time.

Apoi pune o cheie pe masă.

Then she puts a key on the table.

Este mică și veche. Este aceeași cheie.

It is small and old. It is the same key.

Acum sunt două chei pe masă.

Now there are two keys on the table.

„Care cheie este asta?” spune Nina.

“Which key is this?” Nina says.

„Aceea este cheia mea”, spune Bunica. „Acum tu ești bucătarul.”

“That is my key,” Grandma says. “Now you are the cook.”

Nina se uită la Bunica.

Nina looks at Grandma.

„Și tu?”

“And you?”

Bunica se uită pe fereastră.

Grandma looks out of the window.
