Πρωινό

Το πρωινό είναι από τις επτά μέχρι τις δέκα. Η κυρία Μπεργκ το λέει αυτό σε όλους.

Breakfast is from seven to ten. Mrs Berg says that to everybody.

Στις επτά η ώρα υπάρχει ένας δίσκος πάνω σε μια καρέκλα.

At seven o’clock there is a tray on a chair.

Η καρέκλα είναι μπροστά στην πόρτα της κουζίνας.

The chair is in front of the kitchen door.

Υπάρχει φρέσκο ψωμί στον δίσκο. Είναι ζεστό.

There is fresh bread on the tray. It is hot.

Η πόρτα της κουζίνας είναι πάντα κλειστή.

The kitchen door is always closed.

Η Νίνα φέρνει τον δίσκο στα τραπέζια. Αυτή είναι η καινούργια της δουλειά.

Nina brings the tray to the tables. This is her new job.

Υπάρχει ένα μενού σε κάθε τραπέζι. Λέει: καφές, τσάι, ψωμί.

There is a menu on every table. It says: coffee, tea, bread.

Οι άνθρωποι κατεβαίνουν τις σκάλες. Δεν είναι χαρούμενοι.

People come down the stairs. They are not happy.

Τρώνε το ψωμί. Κοιτάζουν τα πιάτα τους. Σταματάνε να μιλάνε.

They eat the bread. They look at their plates. They stop talking.

«Υπάρχει κι άλλο ψωμί;» λέει ένας άντρας, πολύ ήσυχα.

“Is there more bread?” a man says, very quietly.

Η Νίνα παίρνει λίγο από αυτό. Τρώει. Κλείνει τα μάτια της.

Nina takes a little of it. She eats. She closes her eyes.

Είναι πολύ μικρή. Είναι σε ένα μεγάλο τραπέζι.

She is very small. She is at a big table.

Υπάρχει ένα χέρι με ζεστό ψωμί.

There is a hand with hot bread in it.

Ανοίγει τα μάτια της. Είναι μια γυναίκα με έναν δίσκο.

She opens her eyes. She is a woman with a tray.
