Śniadanie

Śniadanie jest od siódmej do dziesiątej. Pani Berg mówi to wszystkim.

Breakfast is from seven to ten. Mrs Berg says that to everybody.

O siódmej na krześle jest taca.

At seven o’clock there is a tray on a chair.

Krzesło jest przed drzwiami kuchni.

The chair is in front of the kitchen door.

Na tacy jest świeży chleb. Jest gorący.

There is fresh bread on the tray. It is hot.

Drzwi kuchni są zawsze zamknięte.

The kitchen door is always closed.

Nina przynosi tacę do stołów. To jest jej nowa praca.

Nina brings the tray to the tables. This is her new job.

Na każdym stole jest menu. Jest w nim: kawa, herbata, chleb.

There is a menu on every table. It says: coffee, tea, bread.

Ludzie schodzą po schodach. Nie są szczęśliwi.

People come down the stairs. They are not happy.

Jedzą chleb. Patrzą na swoje talerze. Przestają rozmawiać.

They eat the bread. They look at their plates. They stop talking.

„Czy jest więcej chleba?” — mówi bardzo cicho mężczyzna.

“Is there more bread?” a man says, very quietly.

Nina bierze trochę. Je. Zamyka oczy.

Nina takes a little of it. She eats. She closes her eyes.

Jest bardzo mała. Jest przy dużym stole.

She is very small. She is at a big table.

Jest ręka z gorącym chlebem.

There is a hand with hot bread in it.

Otwiera oczy. Jest kobietą z tacą.

She opens her eyes. She is a woman with a tray.
