Kahvaltı

Kahvaltı yediden ona kadar. Bayan Berg bunu herkese diyor.

Breakfast is from seven to ten. Mrs Berg says that to everybody.

Saat yedide bir sandalyede bir tepsi var.

At seven o’clock there is a tray on a chair.

Sandalye mutfak kapısının önünde.

The chair is in front of the kitchen door.

Tepside taze ekmek var. Sıcak.

There is fresh bread on the tray. It is hot.

Mutfak kapısı her zaman kapalı.

The kitchen door is always closed.

Nina tepsiyi masalara getiriyor. Bu onun yeni işi.

Nina brings the tray to the tables. This is her new job.

Her masada bir menü var. Üstünde yazıyor: kahve, çay, ekmek.

There is a menu on every table. It says: coffee, tea, bread.

İnsanlar merdivenlerden aşağı geliyor. Mutlu değiller.

People come down the stairs. They are not happy.

Ekmeği yiyorlar. Tabaklarına bakıyorlar. Konuşmayı bırakıyorlar.

They eat the bread. They look at their plates. They stop talking.

“Daha çok ekmek var mı?” diyor bir adam, çok sessizce.

“Is there more bread?” a man says, very quietly.

Nina ondan biraz alıyor. Yiyor. Gözlerini kapatıyor.

Nina takes a little of it. She eats. She closes her eyes.

Çok küçük. Büyük bir masada.

She is very small. She is at a big table.

Bir elde sıcak ekmek var.

There is a hand with hot bread in it.

Gözlerini açıyor. Elinde tepsi olan bir kadın.

She opens her eyes. She is a woman with a tray.
