The Telephone

There is a big clock behind Mrs Berg’s desk.

Ada jam besar di belakang meja Bu Berg.

It says three o’clock. It is Friday afternoon.

Jam itu menunjukkan jam tiga. Sekarang Jumat sore.

Mrs Berg takes her coat. That is new.

Bu Berg mengambil mantelnya. Itu baru.

“The doctor wants to see me,” she says. “Sit here.”

“Dokter mau melihat saya,” katanya. “Duduk di sini.”

“Are you sick?”

“Bu Berg sakit?”

“No. Sit.”

“Tidak. Duduk.”

“At the desk?”

“Di meja?”

“Answer the telephone. Don’t use the computer.”

“Jawab telepon. Jangan pakai komputer.”

“What do I say?”

“Apa yang aku katakan?”

“The lift doesn’t work today.”

“Lift rusak hari ini.”

She goes out. Nina sits behind the desk.

Dia keluar. Nina duduk di belakang meja.

It is a good chair. Max sits on her shoe.

Itu kursi yang bagus. Max duduk di sepatunya.

It is quiet. The clock works. The lift doesn’t.

Sunyi. Jam itu bekerja. Lift tidak.
