Telefonul

Este un ceas mare în spatele biroului doamnei Berg.

There is a big clock behind Mrs Berg’s desk.

Spune ora trei. Este vineri după-amiaza.

It says three o’clock. It is Friday afternoon.

Doamna Berg își ia paltonul. Asta este nou.

Mrs Berg takes her coat. That is new.

„Doctorul vrea să mă vadă”, spune ea. „Stai aici.”

“The doctor wants to see me,” she says. “Sit here.”

„Ești bolnavă?”

“Are you sick?”

„Nu. Stai.”

“No. Sit.”

„La birou?”

“At the desk?”

„Răspunde la telefon. Nu folosi calculatorul.”

“Answer the telephone. Don’t use the computer.”

„Ce spun?”

“What do I say?”

„Liftul nu merge astăzi.”

“The lift doesn’t work today.”

Ea iese. Nina stă jos în spatele biroului.

She goes out. Nina sits behind the desk.

Este un scaun bun. Max stă jos pe pantoful ei.

It is a good chair. Max sits on her shoe.

Este liniște. Ceasul merge. Liftul nu.

It is quiet. The clock works. The lift doesn’t.

Un bărbat intră cu o scrisoare.

A man comes in with a letter.
