The Lift

Ada lift di hotel. Lift itu sangat kecil.

There is a lift in the hotel. It is very small.

Ada tanda di lift itu: “Satu orang.”

There is a sign on it: “One person.”

Ada kertas di lift itu: “Lift rusak hari ini.”

There is a paper on it: “The lift doesn’t work today.”

Nina membaca kertas itu setiap pagi. Itu selalu kertas yang sama.

Nina reads that paper every morning. It is always the same paper.

Kertas itu kuning. Itu hari ini yang sangat tua.

It is yellow. It is a very old today.

Sekarang hari Senin lagi, jam tiga sore.

It is Monday again, three o’clock in the afternoon.

Pria masuk dengan tiga tas besar.

A man comes in with three big bags.

“Saya punya pesanan,” katanya. “Kamar dua belas.”

“I have a booking,” he says. “Room twelve.”

Nina berhenti membersihkan lantai. Dia melihat ke atas.

Nina stops cleaning the floor. She looks up.

“Delapan puluh euro untuk satu malam,” kata Bu Berg. “Lift rusak hari ini.”

“Eighty euros for a night,” Mrs Berg says. “The lift doesn’t work today.”

“Hari ini?” kata pria itu.

“Today?” the man says.

“Hari ini. Silakan pakai tangga.”

“Today. Please use the stairs.”

“Apakah ada wifi?”

“Is there wifi?”
