Liftul

Este un lift în hotel. Este foarte mic.

There is a lift in the hotel. It is very small.

Este un anunț pe el: „O persoană.”

There is a sign on it: “One person.”

Este o hârtie pe el: „Liftul nu merge astăzi.”

There is a paper on it: “The lift doesn’t work today.”

Nina citește hârtia aceea în fiecare dimineață. Este mereu aceeași hârtie.

Nina reads that paper every morning. It is always the same paper.

Este galbenă. Este un astăzi foarte vechi.

It is yellow. It is a very old today.

Este din nou luni, ora trei după-amiaza.

It is Monday again, three o’clock in the afternoon.

Un bărbat intră cu trei genți mari.

A man comes in with three big bags.

„Am o rezervare”, spune el. „Camera doisprezece.”

“I have a booking,” he says. “Room twelve.”

Nina se oprește din curățat podeaua. Ea ridică ochii.

Nina stops cleaning the floor. She looks up.

„Optzeci de euro pe noapte”, spune doamna Berg. „Liftul nu merge astăzi.”

“Eighty euros for a night,” Mrs Berg says. “The lift doesn’t work today.”

„Astăzi?” spune bărbatul.

“Today?” the man says.

„Astăzi. Vă rog, folosiți scările.”

“Today. Please use the stairs.”

„Este wifi?”

“Is there wifi?”

„Da. Parola de la wifi este pe birou.”

“Yes. The wifi password is on the desk.”
