Die Hintertür

Nina läuft zur Küchentür.

Nina runs to the kitchen door.

„Oma!“, ruft sie.

“Grandma!” she shouts.

Sie legt ihre Hände auf die Tür. Sie geht nicht auf.

She puts her hands on the door. It doesn’t open.

„Oma! Ich bin es! Ich bin Nina!“

“Grandma! It is me! It is Nina!”

Hinter der Tür ist nichts. Es ist sehr leise.

There is nothing behind the door. It is very quiet.

Sie nimmt ihren Schlüssel heraus. Ihre Hand ist kalt.

She takes out her key. Her hand is cold.

Sie hält ihn an die Tür. Er geht nicht hinein.

She puts it to the door. It doesn’t go in.

Nicht diese Tür.

Not this door.

Sie kennt diese Worte. Sie kennt sie vom ersten Tag.

She knows those words. She knows them from the first day.

Die Hoteltür geht auf. Frau Berg kommt mit Regen auf dem Mantel herein.

The door of the hotel opens. Mrs Berg comes in with rain on her coat.

Sie schaut Nina an. Sie schaut den Schlüssel an.

She looks at Nina. She looks at the key.

Sie schaut das Telefon auf dem Tresen an.

She looks at the telephone on the desk.

„Diese Tür ist zu“, sagt sie.

“That door is closed,” she says.

„Meine Oma ist in Ihrer Küche!“

“My grandma is in your kitchen!”
