Pintu Belakang

Nina lari ke pintu dapur.

Nina runs to the kitchen door.

“Nenek!” teriaknya.

“Grandma!” she shouts.

Dia menaruh tangannya di pintu. Pintu itu tidak terbuka.

She puts her hands on the door. It doesn’t open.

“Nenek! Ini aku! Ini Nina!”

“Grandma! It is me! It is Nina!”

Tidak ada apa-apa di belakang pintu. Sangat sunyi.

There is nothing behind the door. It is very quiet.

Dia mengambil kuncinya. Tangannya dingin.

She takes out her key. Her hand is cold.

Dia menaruhnya ke pintu. Kunci itu tidak masuk.

She puts it to the door. It doesn’t go in.

Bukan pintu ini.

Not this door.

Dia kenal kata-kata itu. Dia kenal kata-kata itu dari hari pertama.

She knows those words. She knows them from the first day.

Pintu hotel terbuka. Bu Berg masuk dengan hujan di mantelnya.

The door of the hotel opens. Mrs Berg comes in with rain on her coat.

Dia melihat Nina. Dia melihat kunci.

She looks at Nina. She looks at the key.

Dia melihat telepon di meja.

She looks at the telephone on the desk.

“Pintu itu tertutup,” katanya.

“That door is closed,” she says.

“Nenek aku ada di dapur Bu Berg!”

“My grandma is in your kitchen!”
