后门

The Back Door

Nina 跑 pǎo 到 dào 厨房 chúfáng 的 de 门 mén 那里 nàlǐ 。

Nina runs to the kitchen door.

“ 奶奶 nǎinǎi ！” 她 tā 喊 hǎn 。

“Grandma!” she shouts.

她 tā 把 bǎ 手 shǒu 放 fàng 在 zài 门 mén 上 shàng 。 它 tā 不 bù 开 kāi 。

She puts her hands on the door. It doesn’t open.

“ 奶奶 nǎinǎi ！ 是 shì 我 wǒ ！ 是 shì Nina！”

“Grandma! It is me! It is Nina!”

门 mén 后面 hòumiàn 什么都 shénmedōu 没有 méiyǒu 。 非常 fēicháng 安静 ānjìng 。

There is nothing behind the door. It is very quiet.

她 tā 拿 ná 出 chū 她的 tāde 钥匙 yàoshi 。 她的 tāde 手 shǒu 是 shì 冷 lěng 的 de 。

She takes out her key. Her hand is cold.

她 tā 把 bǎ 它 tā 放 fàng 到 dào 门 mén 上 shàng 。 它 tā 进 jìn 不 bú 去 qù 。

She puts it to the door. It doesn’t go in.

不 bú 是 shì 这扇 zhèshàn 门 mén 。

Not this door.

她 tā 认识 rènshí 那些 nàxiē 话 huà 。 她 tā 从 cóng 第一 dìyī 天 tiān 就 jiù 认识 rènshí 它们 tāmen 。

She knows those words. She knows them from the first day.

旅馆 lǚguǎn 的 de 门 mén 开 kāi 了 le 。Berg 女士 nǚshì 进来 jìnlái ， 外套 wàitào 上 shàng 有 yǒu 雨 yǔ 。

The door of the hotel opens. Mrs Berg comes in with rain on her coat.

她 tā 看 kàn Nina。 她 tā 看 kàn 钥匙 yàoshi 。

She looks at Nina. She looks at the key.

她 tā 看 kàn 前台 qiántái 上 shàng 的 de 电话 diànhuà 。

She looks at the telephone on the desk.

“ 那 nà 扇 shàn 门 mén 关着 guānzhe ，” 她 tā 说 shuō 。

“That door is closed,” she says.
