Flurin has waited five years to carry the Plumpa, the biggest bell in Guarda, at the head of the Chalandamarz procession. Now he has to share it with Anouk, the new girl from Geneva, who calls the whole custom noise. His plan to show her up goes badly wrong under the ice of the village fountain, and on the first of March it is the one he least expected who saves the song.
