Room Twelve

It is nine o’clock in the morning. The man with three bags goes out.

Sekarang jam sembilan pagi. Pria dengan tiga tas itu keluar.

Mrs Berg gives Nina a key.

Bu Berg memberi Nina kunci.

“Clean the bathroom in room twelve,” she says.

“Bersihkan kamar mandi di kamar dua belas,” katanya.

Nina goes up the eighty stairs. She closes the door quietly.

Nina naik delapan puluh tangga. Dia menutup pintu dengan pelan.

The room is very quiet.

Kamar itu sangat sunyi.

She takes the photo out of her bag.

Dia mengambil foto dari tasnya.

Grandma is old in it, and she is smiling.

Nenek tua di foto itu, dan dia tersenyum.

Behind her head there is a window.

Di belakang kepalanya ada jendela.

Nina goes to the window.

Nina pergi ke jendela.

There is a small old number on it. A 1 and a 2.

Ada nomor kecil yang tua di sana. 1 dan 2.

It is the same window. Here is the same light.

Itu jendela yang sama. Di sini ada cahaya yang sama.

She puts her shoes on the same floor.

Dia menaruh sepatunya di lantai yang sama.

Now she is standing where Grandma stands.

Sekarang dia berdiri di tempat Nenek berdiri.

There is no blue door here. She can see that. She looks for it.

Tidak ada pintu biru di sini. Dia bisa melihat itu. Dia mencarinya.
