Mrs Berg gives Nina a key.

«Limpie el baño de la habitación doce», dice.

“Clean the bathroom in room twelve,” she says.

Nina sube los ochenta escalones. Cierra la puerta sin ruido.

Nina goes up the eighty stairs. She closes the door quietly.

La habitación está muy tranquila.

The room is very quiet.

Saca la foto de su bolsa.

She takes the photo out of her bag.

Grandma is old in it, and she is smiling.

Detrás de su cabeza hay una ventana.

Behind her head there is a window.

Nina va a la ventana.

Nina goes to the window.

There is a small old number on it. A 1 and a 2.

Es la misma ventana. Aquí hay la misma luz.

It is the same window. Here is the same light.

Pone sus zapatos en el mismo suelo.

She puts her shoes on the same floor.

Now she is standing where Grandma stands.

Aquí no hay puerta azul. Puede verlo. La busca.

There is no blue door here. She can see that. She looks for it.
