Lucía habite à Mexico. Elle a trente-quatre ans. Elle est comptable dans un grand bureau.
Lucía lives in Mexico City. She is thirty-four. She is an accountant in a big office.
Toute la journée, elle travaille avec des chiffres. Des chiffres sur du papier, des chiffres sur son ordinateur. Elle est bonne avec les chiffres.
All day, she works with numbers. Numbers on paper, numbers on her computer. She is good with numbers.
À dix-huit heures, elle prend le métro pour rentrer. Son appartement est petit et calme.
At six o’clock, she takes the metro home. Her apartment is small and quiet.
Elle dîne seule. Elle regarde la télé seule. Elle va au lit à vingt-deux heures.
She eats dinner alone. She watches TV alone. She goes to bed at ten.
Le vendredi soir, son amie Ana vient. Ana a une bouteille de vin et un grand sourire.
On Friday evening, her friend Ana comes. Ana has a bottle of wine and a big smile.
« Comment est ta semaine ? » demande Ana.
“How is your week?” asks Ana.
« Bien. Beaucoup de chiffres. »
“Good. Lots of numbers.”
« Et tes soirées ? »
“And your evenings?”
« Mes soirées sont calmes. J’ai ma télé et mon thé. »
“My evenings are quiet. I have my TV and my tea.”
Ana la regarde. « Lucía, tu as trente-quatre ans. Tu n’as pas quatre-vingts ans. Donne-moi ton téléphone. »
Ana looks at her. “Lucía, you are thirty-four. You are not eighty. Give me your phone.”
« Mon téléphone ? Pourquoi ? »
“My phone? Why?”
« Parce que tu as besoin d’une application de rencontre. »
“Because you need a dating app.”
« Une application de rencontre ? Non, non, non. Je suis comptable. Une comptable n’utilise pas d’applications de rencontre. »
“A dating app? No, no, no. I am an accountant. An accountant doesn’t do dating apps.”
