Piotr tinggal di Warsawa. Umurnya empat puluh lima tahun. Dia bekerja di kantor yang besar di kota.

Piotr lives in Warsaw. He is forty-five. He works in a big office in the city.

Setiap pagi, dia naik mobil ke kantor. Dia naik lift ke lantai delapan. Dia duduk di mejanya sepanjang hari.

Every morning, he drives to work. He takes the lift to the eighth floor. He sits at his desk all day.

Pada sore hari, dia naik mobil pulang ke rumah. Dia duduk di sofa dan menonton TV.

In the evening, he drives home. He sits on the sofa and watches TV.

Hari ini, Piotr tidak ada di kantor. Dia ada di tempat dokter.

Today, Piotr is not at work. He is at the doctor’s.

Dokter itu seorang wanita muda dengan rambut pendek. Dia melihat komputernya lama sekali.

The doctor is a young woman with short hair. She looks at her computer for a long time.

“Pak Piotr, berapa banyak Anda berjalan?” tanya dokter itu.

“Mr Piotr, how much do you walk?” she asks.

“Berjalan? Saya berjalan dari mobil ke meja saya.”

“Walk? I walk from my car to my desk.”

“Dan pada akhir pekan?”

“And at the weekend?”

“Pada akhir pekan, saya berjalan dari sofa ke dapur.”

“At the weekend, I walk from my sofa to my kitchen.”

Dokter itu tidak tertawa. “Jantung Anda tidak senang, Pak Piotr. Jantung Anda perlu Anda berjalan.”

The doctor does not laugh. “Your heart is not happy, Mr Piotr. Your heart needs you to walk.”

“Berapa banyak?”

“How much?”

“Sepuluh ribu langkah. Setiap hari.”

“Ten thousand steps. Every day.”

Piotr melihat dia. “Sepuluh ribu? Setiap hari? Itu lelucon.”

Piotr looks at her. “Ten thousand? Every day? That is a joke.”
