Bored while watching his master's sheep near a dark forest, a shepherd boy shouts that a wolf is attacking, just to see the villagers come running. He plays the same trick again, and then one evening a real wolf springs from the underbrush.

The Æsop for Children The Shepherd Boy & the Wolf A Shepherd Boy tended his master's Sheep near a dark forest not far from the village. Soon he found life in the pasture very dull.
