Daedalus, the most skillful craftsman Athens has known, grows jealous of his young nephew Perdix and sends him falling from a temple cliff, where Athena takes pity on the boy. Exiled to Crete, Daedalus is asked by King Minos to rid the land of a terrible monster with a bull's head.
